    Event: The Ceremony for the Gifting of the Blood Donation Vehicle and the Service Ceremony of the Blood Donation Vehicle
     
    Background: 
    At the time of 921 Earthquake in 1999 in Taiwan, the Honorable Director Mr. Kin-Si-Lang Chen, learned that there was a great need for blood transfusion everywhere in Taiwan after the earthquake. Mr. Kin-Si-Lang began to regularly donate his blood to help those in need. When he no longer qualified as a blood donor due to the age limitation, he started a plan to donate a blood donation vehicle. The goal finally came true at the end of 2018 after years of fundraising and planning.
     
    Lun Hsiang, with the Da-Ya Rotary, gifted the vehicle named “ Ta-Ya Rotary-Lun Hsiang” to the blood center in Taichung on December 8, 2018. During the same day, there was a blood drive after the ceremony, in which the vehicle saw its first use. In the future, the vehicle will be in service and operated by the blood center in Taichung.
